Cheap
plastic look and useless software were the highlights in Samsung’s
bashings over the past few years. But after countless teases, leaks and
speculations, Samsung has tried to come out of that plastic’s shadow and
opted for a complete makeover. Solid!
On the first day of Mobile World Congress, Samsung launched its next big things- Samsung Galaxy S6 – and S6 Edge. These new flagships of Samsung will be available from 10th April worldwide.
Samsung Galaxy S6 was known as “Project Zero” internally. Why so? Now we have the answer. Samsung has started from zero and its designers used the freedom given to them to make a fantastic phone. Few hours earlier at MWC, HTC launched its new and beautiful flagship HTC One M9.
Keeping aside the past mistakes made by the design team, Samsung has created a stunning device. This new flagship comes in two modes. The Galaxy S6 has a flat display, glass front and back panel and a metallic frame. Those who are waiting for the lines speaking of the iPhone like similarities, have some patience people, I’ll be dealing with that later. The other counterpart, the Galaxy S6 Edge is the one with more appeal. The curves to the both sides of the screen gives it a different feel.
The hardware specs of the new flagship are mindboggling. The Quad HD Super AMOLED display on a 5.1 inch screen is insane. The camera at the back is 16 MP with a 5 MP front camera. Samsung has ditched the Qualcomm and opted for its homemade Exynos processor coupled with 3GB RAM. S6 comes with a 2550 mAH battery which charges at a very fast pace.

The infamous Apple iPhone 6 similarity:
So let’s talk about it. Samsung designers must be given the credit, but you can’t deny few striking similarities. The rounded edges and speakers will remind you of Apple iPhone 6, look yourself in the picture below. The new Galaxy S6 is incased in two panes of Gorilla Glass on the front and end, which again reminds of iPhone. The hardware specs of the new flagship are mindboggling.
