Oh, no. Samsung's new phone bends just like an iPhone?
Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
The Galaxy S6 Edge allegedly cracks under pressure. SquareTrade/YouTube screenshot by Chris Matyszczyk/CNET
In the annals of great disasters, Bendgate has its place.
Surely you remember the iPhone 6 Plusbeing bent by the bare hairy hands of experts, and even by machines?
Surely you wept as you saw it disfigured like a night on the town after one too many banana daiquiris.
Naturally, competitors saw this and chuckled. Samsung even released a videothat allegedly proved its Galaxy Note 4was not for bending.
The same doesn't seem to be true with the Galaxy 6 Edge. The big brains at SquareTrade decided to put this lovely new phone to the test. What they discovered is that it became unlovely with exactly the sort of pressure that did in the iPhone 6 Plus.
The testing video shows that one leg of an offensive lineman -- I'm estimating it weighs 110 pounds -- not only bends the Edge, but also gets its glass to crack.
Moreover, the Edge broke apart at 149 pounds of pressure, whereas the iPhone 6 Plus survived until 179 pounds.
I imagine that one or two Apple fanpersons will be giggling to their Easter Bunnies at this news. They might even crow to their Edgier friends that their gadget cracks under pressure.
Cop caught going ballistic on Uber driver apologizes on TV
Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
Detective Patrick Cherry. Did his TV appearance garner sympathy? NBC New York screenshot by Chris Matyszczyk/CNET
When you've already made a filmic appearance and earned the disdain of many, is it wise to appear on TV to try and sway opinion?
For Detective Patrick Cherry of the New York Police Department's Joint Terrorism Task Force the answer was "yes."
Cherry is the detective caught in the act of berating an Uber driver by the driver's passenger, Sanjay Seth. Seth posted the video to YouTube, where more than 3 million people have enjoyed it.
Cherry made racially tinged statements, angrily slammed the driver's door and behaved in such a nasty manner that New York Police Commissioner William Brattontook away his badge and gun and declared: "No good cop should watch that video without a wince. Because all good cops know that officer just made their jobs a little bit harder."
The incident occurred after the Uber driver made what Seth called a mild gesture of frustration in reaction to Cherry allegedly parking in front of him without using his blinker.
However, appearing on NBC New York,Cherry insisted that the driver had reacted angrily. Which isn't perhaps the best way to present an apology. Cherry did say: "I apologize, I sincerely apologize." He added, though, that his intention in stopping the Uber driver was to "clarify the situation."
But surely as far as the Uber driver was concerned, Cherry was an ordinary citizen. He was in an unmarked car. What needed clarification? Cherry told NBC that there was mutual hand-waving between the two. Some might think that to be an ordinary day on the streets of New York. Cherry clearly did not.
He explained: "When I walked up, I was uptight. I wanted to know what the problem was. I felt his driving actions were discourteous and impolite and when he stopped he said, 'I'm not going to give you anything.'"
Still, countering alleged discourtesy with ranting, questioning how long the Uber driver has been in the US, mocking his accent and slamming the driver's car door might not be the ideal police-manual etiquette.

SASA UNAWEZA KUPIGA SIMU KWA KUTUMIA WHATSAPP
Now, the company is slowly rolling out the much anticipated WhatsApp Voice Calling feature (only for Android users now).
Also Read: Android became first Smartphone OS ever to ship more than 1 billion devices.
Reddit user pradnesh07 claims (via gadgets.ndtv) users who are running the aforementioned combination of WhatsApp app version, Android OS version, and device make will not be able to activate the voice calling feature until they receive a call from someone else with the feature already activated – hinting at a slow, almost invite-based roll-out.
Even with feature enabled on the app on the phone, one cannot place the call until unless he/she receives a call from the person who has the feature enabled. User pradnesh07 claims that he wasn’t able to make calls himself; he got the calling feature activated after receiving a call from WhatsApp.
The way the update is available to only limited users, we can infer that the company is still testing the feature. Also, the way UI is described in the screenshot, it needs more improvements.
The changes are as follows:
- Introduction of “Call” tab , alongside Chats and Contacts tab.
- The call screen include basic call features – disconnect, mute, loudspeaker mode and message access.
SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 NA GALAXY S EDGE KUJA MWEZI MARCH
The latest pieces of evidence point that the Galaxy S6 will feature a 5" QHD Super AMOLED display and draw power from the Exynos 7420 chipset with octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. At the back, the flagship will feature a heart rate monitor and a 20MP snapper. You can check out the design of the phone's back in a set of case photos from Spigen.
Additionally, the phone will likely pack a metal frame, just as the teaser image hints. Akin to the Galaxy Alpha, this will benefit the phone's profile making it measure 143.5 x 70.7 x 7.2mm as per leaked schematics of the device.
The curved variant of the Galaxy S6 might be called simply Galaxy S Edge. It remains unclear at this point if two of the screen's sides will be curved or just one. A patent showcases that Samsung has figured the technology out on making double edge happen.

Sony Xperia Z4 tablet Ultra
A New report on the Taiwanese publication Digitimes claims that the known mobile phones manufacturer Sony is looking at launching a new 12.9 inch display tablet device in the first half of next year. When we first heard about the rumored Sony Xperia Z4 tablet Ultra in mid-December, we thought that it is fake in all senses of the word and yet there is another rumor that give credence to the past claims.
According to this report, Sony might be joining Apple in Producing Large-sized tablets, by manufacturing the Z4 Tablet in 2015. This report tells that Sony starts the manufacture of this tablet in large quantity and this mass production tablet will be released in the first half of 2015.
The Company doesn’t name it as Xperia Z4 ultra especially, but the specifications that it has listed for this rumor is provided by the Digitimes Publications. The Tablet is said to come with a 12.9 inch Display with 3840 x 2400 resolution. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with a max CPU clock speed of 2.86GHz which will provide the oomph. It can run on Android OS.

The thickness of the body is 8.6mm which is thin as compared to some of the other tablets. It has 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage capacity with Play Station 4 Remote play support, which sound more believable. The battery attached is of 12,100 mAh capacity. Its design is similar to the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
